Confessions of a Shopaholic: Not-So-Window Shopping

Maybe this is the effect of staying up to study for 2 2nd year Science papers, because once again, I've stayed up all night (and morning).

Sunday, I thought I'd dedicate the whole Sunday to God and Church, but, needless to say, I went to bed at a really weird time (maybe not so weird now, considering it's me I'm talking about) and so, decided to just go for the last 2 services.

Imagine my horror when I open my eyes, reach for my phone and see the numbers 15:30. Yup, I've overslept and missed 2nd service. So I continue to lie in bed, mentally reprimanding myself for oversleeping. Pastor Matt was preaching in the 2nd service, and I hadn't heard him preach in a while.....

So, it was Church, dinner with friends, some grocery shopping at Safeway....

This is where the fun begins.

I start watching movies, even migrating my external HD to the electrical socket at the foot of my bed so I can just plug it into my com and marathon my night away.

Which is exactly what I did. :)
Snow White and The Seven Dwarves
Centre Stage 2: Turn It Up
Barbie in 12 Dancing Princesses
Barbie in The Nutcracker
Barbie of Swan Lake A couple of Barbie movies, yes I know. Barbie! xp
Confessions of a Shopaholic
The Lion King
Ever After

While playing Ever After, I decided to search for more movies like Ever After. Period/Historical, romantic films. Geez, either my search skills suck or there really aren't many of those around. I'm hoping it's the latter.

Ever After ended just in time for me to change and meet Diane. We walked to Pancake Parlour together, reaching at about 08:10. Ok, so we splurged on breakfast. Big Time. I had a Farm Breakfast, while Diane had a whole load of strawberries with her pancakes. And balked when we saw that there was an extra dollar surcharge because it's public holiday today - Queen's Birthday. Bah.

Stayed in Pancake Parlour for the next 2 hours, chatting and laughing madly at stuff.
Since we were at Bourke St (and managed to while away the time till Body Shop opened), I decided to check out some Body Shop moisturisers (I'm running out!). But, made a pitstop (read: got waylaid) at Diva before that, where I bought something from Diva for the first time since 2007. There was a sale ok!!! 2 Pairs of Sterling Silver earrings - a pair of hoops and another teardrop-shaped pair - as well as a Sterling Silver butterfly necklace. All for just $10!!! Geez, I sound like a corny advertisement now.

So from The Body Shop, we made our way to Jeanswest at Melb Central. Gah. Tried on a top and bought it for $7.50. I tell you it's the Winter Sale/EOFYS. Diane got a pair of jeans for a really REALLY good price. Satisfied with our buys we decided to do some window shopping, I was broke anyway. There'd be no money which I could be tempted to use.

Valleygirl..... Nothing much.
Espirit........ Saw a pretty nice handbag that cost too much for my liking. And Diane found a leather belt for $20! Awesome buy.
Jay Jays..... Nothing much.
Just Jeans..... Well, the main reason I wanted to go there was to see if they had any nice blue jeans since I managed to rip my (well-worn) Rider jeans I got from (almost) a year ago. Didn't see much, but I decided not to be disappointed till I had a look at the South Wharf DFO outlet.

So we made one final stop... COTTON ON!
Which was TERRIBLY disappointing. There were only basic white and black, long-sleeved tops. Nothing I'd buy, which is rare, considering Cotton On is probably the shop that I patronise the most.

This post took me took me wayyyyy too much time to write, considering that I wanted to type this up quick and get some much needed sleep. At the rate I'm going, I'll be past the 24 hours mark before I get my sleep.
