Come Celebrate

Yup, it's that time of the school year again.

Or, at least it was.

Celebration Evening was on Wednesday night. We didn't have to go to school on Wednesday because the whole SS had to go to Melbourne Town Hall for rehearsals. Believe it or not, the rehearsals took twice as long as the actual event and that was only one run-through.

During rehearsals, I was sitting with Nicole, coz somehow we both reached kind of on time/late; whatever way you want to look at it. The fashion show was alright.. Although some of the models looked like they didn't want to be there and didn't know how to pose. That was just rehearsals.

okok.. I'm lazy so I'm just gonna fast forward a bit.

The only nice part of the rehearsals was the massed singing, coz that's the only time that the whole school gets to do something instead of just watching people receive prizes and applauding for said persons.

The Celeb Eve song For Good from the musical, Wicked, was sounding good. I mean, the conductor spent practically all our massed singing rehearsals in school on For Good. It sure as hell had better sound good.

The Leaving Song wasn't so bad either, other than the fact that most of us were straining to hit all those notes. Bleah.

The nightmare? By some odd voting, the Year 12s voted to sing All You Need Is Love for Celebration Evening. Since it turns out that hardly anyone wanted to/liked that song. The song turned out to be quite the disaster. Couple that with the fact that we didn't spend much time on this song during rehearsals, that night, all you could really hear from the balcony was the first few lines of the song... Really loud and jubilant "It's easy!!" and choruses. The third verse was probably the most horrendous part of all. We were told, last minute, that instead of assigning groups for each line of the verse, we were ALL supposed to sing the third verse together. Obviously, no one knew all the words and to the select few who knew... I applaud you...

But yes, needless to say, on wednesday night, instead of singing the song, many of us were just laughing our way through it, particularly the third verse.

We were let off sometime after 1pm. And since Chang had to stay in the city, I decided to stay with her. We had lunch with Sie Thung, Nicole and Qian. The highlight of the afternoon? Chang trying to help Qian decide what to get for her tutor at Body Shop.

Laughs all around.

Um.. I'd go on.. but i'm really sick of typing. of all the lame reasons. and i'm too lazy to recount everything anyway.

I'm thinking of tonight. And I'm kinda dreading it yet looking forward to it as well.
Shudders.

I'll blog more over the weekend, I think. :D

We've Graduated !!!
